Miami Children's Museum

A photo and information about the Miami Children's Museum on Biscayne Bay near downtown Miami. The museum was founded in 1983 but the newest building - pictured below - opened to the public in 2003.

This hands-on children's museum is more then 56,000 square feet in size and it includes 12 display galleries, a 200 seat auditorium, classrooms, a gift shop, and a Subway restaurant.

The Miami Children's Museum is located on Watson Island on the shore of Biscayne Bay on the other side of the causeway from Parrot Jungle Island. Exhibits in the museum were designed to teach and entertain children.
