Haitian Community of Miami Florida

The farming community of Lemon City was annexed by Miami in 1925 and today it is an inner city area known as "Little Haiti" because of its large number of Haitian immigrants and businesses. Miami's Little Haiti district is bordered by the I-95 Highway, the Florida East Coast Railway tracks, 54th Street, and 87th Street. Little Haiti's business district is on Northeast 2nd Avenue. The Miami Design District is located on the south end of Little Haiti.
