Laws for Non-Indian Casinos
Admission to casinos is free.
Casinos can be open 16 hours per day
Minimum gambling age is 18 for parimutuel betting and 21
for casino cambling.
Free alcoolic beverages are prohibited

In 2005 Broward County voters passed a referendum
to allow slot machines at four parimutuel facilities
in that county.
Golfstream Park added slots on November 15, 2024

Florida has seven Indian Gaming Locations
- Seminole Tribe has six
- Miccosukee Tribe has one
The only games allowed are class II games where players
compete against each oather rather then against the
casino. Games allowed are high-stakes bingo, video
pull tabs, low limit poker games. Low limit poker can
be found in many of Florida's parimutuel facilities,
including horse tracks, dog tracks, jai-alai frontons,
and harness tracks.
The Indian casinos also offer class II video gaming
devices that look like slot machines but are really
bingo games. The spinning reels are for entertainment
purposes only.
All casinos except brighton are open 24 hours a day.
The Brighton Casino is open six days a week.
