Events in Miami Florida for the gay, lesbian,
bisexual, and transgendered community include
party weekends such as Aqua Girl,
White Party Week, and the Winter Party Festival.
Also includes other events such as
the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
and special events organized by Miami's gay social clubs
and event producers.
Aqua Girl Women's Weekend
This party weekend in Miami Florida is a benefit
for the Aqua Foundation, an organization formed to
support lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered women.
The event features concerts, comedy performances,
dance parties, pool parties, sports events, and more.
The precessor to Aqua Girl was an dance event known
as "Sweet Charity" that took place for the first time
in 1999.
White Party Week
Miami's White Party Week began as a small 1985 fund raiser
for the Health Crisis Network HIV/AIDS project. Today
the event attracts thousands of people and it features
more the thirteen events including a fundraising brunch
at the Versace mansion, a beach party, celebrity panels,
and more. White Party Week participants typically wear
all-white clothing.
Winter Party Festival
The Winter Party Festival is a week-long benefit for Miami's
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community
and it featuers art, dance, music, comedy, and sports
events.
Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
This annual film festival was founded in 1999
by Robert Rosenberg features films about the
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experience.
Films are screened at several different theaters in the
Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas. For more information

AIDS Walk Miami
This annual AIDS benefit is a walking event
on a 3.1 mile (5 kilometer) course that
begins and ends near the Miami Beach
Convention Center.
Miami to Key West AIDS Ride
An annual 165-mile, 2-day bicycle ride
from Maimi Florida to Key West. Each
rider is required to raise $1200 which
will be donated to several South Florida
AIDS organizations.
