Coconut Grove Arts Festival
More 350 artists from around the world participate
in this fine arts festival takes place every February
on President's Day weekend. Typically more the 150,000
people attend.
Shopping in Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove has many specialty shops in
its downtown area and it is also the home
of two shopping malls, CocoWalk and Mayfair
in the Grove.
Coconut Grove Playhouse
This historic theater in Coconut Grove was built as
a movie theater in 1926. Today it it is the home
of the 110 seat Mainstage Theater and the
135 seat Encore Room Theater. In 2007 the theater
was forced to suspend operations, at least temporarily,
for financial reasons.
