and venues in the city of Miami Florida.
Florida Grand Opera
The Florida Grand Opera was founded in 1941
by Arturo di Filippi and it is one of the oldest
opera companies i the United states. Performances
take place at the Carnival Performing Arts Center
in Miami and the Borward Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Miami Lyric Opera
Raffaele Cardone's opera company made its debut
in October of 2004 and it now performs regularly
at the Manuel Artime Performing Arts Center
in Miami and at the Colony Theater in Miami Beach.
Young Patronesses of the Opera
An opera support group for young women founded
by Dr. Arturo Di Filippi in the 1950's.
