Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce
An organization formed to promote networking within
the existing gay and gay-friendly business and professional
community in Miami-Dade County, promote business opportunities
for Chamber of Commerce members, and promote Miami as a year-round
gay-friendly tourist destination. Web site includes information for
Chamber members, many pages of online travel information for gay
and lesbian visitors, and a 76 page "Miami: Diversity Celebrated
Daily" travel guide that is formatted for printing.
CoralGAYbles
A social organization created to organize social gatherings for
members of the gay and lesbian community in Coral Gables,
South Miami, Little Havana, Coconut Grove, the Brickell
Financial District, Kendall, and other Miami mainland areas.
Miami Gay Men's Chorus
This choral group was founded in 1999 and its members
are gay men of all ages. The group performs twice a year,
usually in June and December, and their shows include
singing, dancing, and acting, often with a heartwarming
or humorous look at gay life in Miami.
Atlantic Coast Dinghy Club
A group of gay and gay-friendly sailors
with or without boats. Members are almost
all gay men but non-member gay men, lesbians,
and straight people often participate in club events.
Note that nudity is permitted at club events when
locations are private enough to allow it. Most
events take place in Biscayne Bay but a few are
held in other locations from Fort Lauderdale to
the Bahamas.
Nadadores of Miami
This swimming club practices four times a week
and they often swim in the ocean on Sundays.
Team is affiliated with the U.S. Masters Swimming
organization and the International Gay and Lesbian
Aquatics organization.
Miami Mavericks Tennis Club
Local Miami chapter of the Gay and Lesbian
Tennis Alliance. The group provides opportunities
for its members to play tennis recreationally and
competitively.
Gay Men's Multi-Ethnic Association of South Florida
A social group for professional gay men from
all ethnic backgrounds. Everyone is welcoem.
The gropu meets at the Gay and Lesbian Center
on Oakland Park Road in Fort Lauderdale.

Project Yes
The Yes Institute was founded in 1996 to reduce the suicide
rate among gay and lesbian young people through communication

An organization created in 1993 to protect
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people
from discrimination based on their actual

An state-wide organization founded to eliminate descrimation
in the state of Florida based on sexual orientation,
